Guided Walks
Jean-Paul de Vries offers private walks for groups. These walks take place in the morning hours and by appointment. In the surroundings of Romagne-sous-Montfaucon the traces of the war are still clearly visible in the landscape. During the walk Jean-Paul tells in his unique way about the history of the Great War, the former battlefields, the trench warfare and times when Romagne was occupied by the German forces. You learn to look with different eyes. Who knows, you might even find a relic from WWI.
The duration of the walk is between two and three hours. You will walk at a leisurely pace. Afterwards, you can visit the museum and enjoy a drink in the establishment or the garden.
Price: € 150,- per group (max. 6 people., € 20,-, per additional person)

Driving tours
Jean-Paul de Vries offers a tour through the former war areas by pick-up truck and, if necessary, by private transport. Tours take place in the morning and by appointment.
He is your personal guide to historically interesting places, like the destroyed village Montfaucon, The Lost Battalion, The Sergeant York Trail and the Butte de Vauquois.
It is possible to adapt the tour to your own wishes.
Price: € 300 per group, maximum of 8 people

Walking in the footsteps of your family
If you want to follow in the footsteps of a relative who took part the in Great War, Jean-Paul can personally show you around. If you have detailed information, such as a name, a division, a regiment, a place and time period, it is possible to use old maps and chronicles of regiments to trace the fields and forests where the regiment served. You cannot get any closer to your own family history.
