Museum Romagne 14-18 offers an active and educational programme for secondary school students. A unique introduction to the First World War and the daily life of the soldiers. The programme includes visits to the museum, excursions/walks and lunch and dinner options.
In close consultation with the teachers and Jean-Paul, a one-day or multi-day programme is put together adapted to the level and age of the pupils and the duration of the school trip or work week.

Jean-Paul tells about the war, the soldiers who fought in it and the ordinary people behind the lines. He does this on the basis of a walk in the woods around the village, where the trenches and bunkers can still be seen and where shrapnel lies in the ploughed fields. The war is also tangible in his museum. You can touch it, feel it and pick it up. Here, the meaning and the misery of the war come to life.

In the village of Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, where the museum is located, you will find both the largest American war cemetery in Europe and a small and sober German cemetery.
The winners and the losers. But wasn't everyone a loser of the war in the end? The ordinary soldiers, the villagers in occupied territory, the beloved ones at the home front. Jean-Paul tells about the madness of war in the very same surroundings where the war took place more than a century ago. He will tell not only about the First World War, he will make you think about every war since then and how things are in the world today.

Optional are an afternoon visit to the Meuse-Argonne American cemetery in Romagne and the ruined village of Montfaucon.
